1)  What is your background in psychology (e.g., education)?

I’m currently a student at St. Mary’s University – Rochester. I am working on my bachelors in psychology and plan to obtain my Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology.

  2)  Describe your current occupation and any involvement in the Minnesota Psychological Association if applicable.

I am currently employed at the Mayo Clinic and looking to consult as a corporate trainer.

  3)  What inspired you to pursue a degree in psychology?

My second job was working with individuals with developmental disabilities and during that experience, I fell in love with that population. This path exposed me to the various aspects of mental health and psychology, which eventually educated me on the multiple career opportunities in the field of psychology.

  4)  Why did you join the Minnesota Psychological Association?

My primary reason for joining the MPA was for the networking opportunities.

  5)  What do you hope to learn/gain from your new membership?

I hope to gain access to events and information that will broaden my knowledge and network of psychologists.

  6)  Any outside hobbies/interests you do not mind sharing?

I love to read, sing and dance. I used to write music in my youth but due to my studies and focus of building my own business as a consultant, I really have no time for my hobbies.
