About the Program

This training specifically addresses the 100% increase since 1980, of black male suicide. As black males may present atypical suicide symptoms and behaviors, identifying often overlooked psychological, environmental, and socio-political factors is imperative in assessment and intervention.

This session qualifies for 3.0 continuing education credits. You must attend the full 3-hour program to get continuing education credit for the event.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Integrate and normalize clinical knowledge, of Black male mental health in their own practices.
  2. Complete culturally-competent assessments and interventions for black males at suicide risk.
