1)     What is your background in psychology (e.g., education)?

I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University.

2)      Describe your current occupation and any involvement in the Minnesota Psychological Association if applicable.

I am part of a private practice, North Psychology Clinic in Brooklyn Center.  I am part of the school-based team, providing services to Brooklyn Center Schools.

3)      What inspired you to pursue a degree in psychology?

I’m a natural “helper” and I have always loved interacting with children.  I took a psychology class in high school and loved it, and knew from then on that I would become a child psychologist.

4)      Why did you join the Minnesota Psychological Association?

I was a member in the past, but let my membership lapse.  There is so much happening in our profession right now that I feel a need to support the organization that advocates for us.

5)      What do you hope to learn/gain from your new membership?

Up-to-date information about legislation that affects my practice, continuing education opportunities, and networking.

6)      Any outside hobbies/interests you do not mind sharing?

I love hiking, canoeing, and hanging out with my family on the North Shore.
