Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultant

Park Nicollet Clinic - Lakeville is looking for a Child/Adolescent Integrated Behavioral Health Consultant to join our Behavioral Health team in our primary care clinic.

This is an innovative program with a mission to provide both brief/solution focused therapy when a mental health need is identified as well as to provide preventative psychoeducation and support to children, adolescents, and their families in partnership with our pediatric and family medicine colleagues. In addition to partnering with our medical teams, you will be a part of the Park Nicollet Behavioral Health Department, which is comprised of a large, multidisciplinary team of clinicians who provide outpatient mental health services to patients in Minnesota. We are seeking a mental health professional with a specific interest in integrated care and with skills in brief/solution-focused, short-term treatment. The Behavioral Health Consultant will support 3 primary care clinics in a regional model.

Qualified candidates must:

  • Have experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and adolescents (0-18 years old). Our patient population presents with a broad range of concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, work/school issues, relationship issues, ADHD, developmental delays, ASD, trauma, physical health related concerns and chemical use/misuse.
  • Have training, experience, and interest in the provision of evidence-based, solution-focused care to children, adolescents and families.
  • Be independently licensed, or license eligible, in MN at the Masters or Doctoral Level (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LP, or equivalent). 5 years post-license experience working in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to ethical practices.
  • Have professional relationship building skills which are essential in facilitating partnerships with behavioral health and primary care colleagues to provide patients with high-quality, comprehensive care.
