Primary Job Responsibilities:
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to provide outpatient and virtual psychology services for patients aged 16 and above with childhood-onset medical conditions including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic diagnoses (e.g., scoliosis; hip dysplasia), cognitive disorders, and more.

Services provided will include:

  • Psychological testing (e.g., IQ, academic, executive function, emotional, behavioral measures; testing to guide transition to adulthood such as concerns for guardianship)
  • Psychotherapy (common presentations include anxiety, depression, behaviors, adjustment to medical disability, pain, transition to adulthood)
  • Pre-operative assessments and intervention
  • Consultation and planning with various members of the care team – including medical providers, nursing, rehab therapists, social workers, and a multitude of others – will be an important component of your work.

The position also allows for opportunity to supervise graduate-level practicum students, as well as engage in other growth opportunities as they arise. Of course, you will have the ability to join a fun, collaborative, and skilled team of psychologists & psychotherapists.

Requirements:

  • PhD. or Psy.D. in Psychology
  • Currently licensed psychologist through MN Board of Psychology, or License-Eligible (as allowable by law) with requirement to obtain MN license within 90 days of hire.
  • If License-Eligible, clinical work will be done under supervision of another licensed psychologist.
  • Documented completion of an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship
  • Experience working with adolescents and adults (16 years of age & above)
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs of patients and/or organizational needs
  • Gillette requires all staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless there is a Gillette-approved medical or religious exemption. New hires will be required to have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to starting employment and submit proof of 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine prior to 1st day. Gillette also requires all employees to receive the influenza vaccine or wear an approved face mask during influenza season. The flu vaccine can be done at the time of the health clearance appointment.

1.0 FTE; Business hours Monday -- Friday

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The annual salary range for this opportunity is $86,299 to $129,459, with a median salary of $107,879/annually.
  • Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity.
