Classified ads

Several advertising opportunities are available: Positions Available, Office Space Available, Miscellaneous Classifieds, and Seminars/Educational Events.

Ads are available for viewing by MPA members and nonmembers. The MPA Web site is getting an average of 750 page views per day in the first six months since its redesign.

Advertising Policy: The publication of any advertisement is not an endorsement of the advertiser or of the product or services provided by the advertiser. The Minnesota Psychological Association reserves the right to reject or edit advertisements.

Scheduling: Ads will remain on the site for 30 days, unless the advertiser renews the ad for an additional 30 day period or requests that the ad be taken down before 30 days have elapsed.

Format: Web classified ads will contain text only — no graphics or pictures.

Classified Title Licensed Psychologist
Classified Description Primary Function & Major Responsibilities: Position will provide direct mental health services to adults in an outpatient setting. Position will assess the cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and psychological aspects of the patient and with the patient establish appropriate goals for treatment. Position will provide appropriate treatment using the most efficient and effective clinical methodology, and actively review progress toward goals. Position will provide individual and group therapy, case consultation, and crisis/triage services. Position will practice in an interdisciplinary setting and actively participate in utilization review and other quality management activities.
Qualifications: Licensed to practice independently in Minnesota. PhD, PsyD, Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Experience: One year post license in an outpatient setting preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Sound knowledge of therapy, theory and practice; demonstrated skills in developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships, excellent communication skills; strong problem solving skills; must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret available information to identify patient needs; must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care.
Work Hours: Full time, one evening per week

Classified Title Licensed Psychologist - Neuropsychological Assessment
Classified Description Pediatric Consultation Specialists, PLLC, a private psychology practice in Plymouth, is seeking a licensed psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological evaluations to join our expanding group. Pediatric Consultation Specialists serves children and adolescents with the full range of neurobehavioral and psychological disorders by providing psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation to youth and their families.

Candidates must be available a minimum of 10 clinical hours per week. Candidates must be eligible for insurance reimbursement and fully licensed. Classified Title International Services Clinical Consultant (25% time)
Classified Description The Center for Victims of Torture is seeking a part-time (25% time) clinical consultant, based at headquarters, for a new international project in Dadaab Refugee Camp in Kenya. The position will provide clinical oversight, hire and supervise expatriate psychotherapists who are working in the field, and participate in new project development. We are seeking a psychotherapist who has significant experience working with trauma survivors. Experience supervising clinical staff members and working internationally are highly desirable. 3-6 weeks per year of international travel are required. Classified Title Director of Training/Core Faculty
Classified Description This is a regular faculty position in a new (opening Fall, 2010) doctoral training program (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology offered by Saint Mary’s of Minnesota at our Twin Cities Campus in South Minneapolis. The position is initially configured with ½ time assigned to Director of Training duties and ½ time assigned to core faculty teaching and advising duties. The Director of Training is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all program activities related to practicum and internship training. Although a full time position is preferred, initial hiring to fill a ½ time DOT position may be considered. The position starts January 1, 2011.
